Phillip founded Cummings CPA Services with a passion to help both individuals and small businesses and has served as the company's President since it's inception. His 25 years of public accounting and business experience has prepared him well in serving clients as a trusted business advisor and business partner. His knowledge enables him to provide valuable advice and solutions to his clients. Phillip offers services including assurance, accounting, tax consulting, strategic planning, merger and acquisition assistance and management consulting.
He began his public accounting career with the large regional firm of Watkins and Uiberall, PLLC in Memphis Tennessee in 1988. There he provided attest, tax and consulting services to many industries including health care, restaurant, printing, publishing, transportation, distribution, nonprofit, automotive and manufacturing. His career has included senior executive roles ranging from Director of Strategic Planning to Vice President Finance and Chief Financial Officer for companies in the publishing, retail, printing, hospitality and automotive industries and with companies $15 million to $15 billion in revenues.
One of Phillip's focuses over the last fifteen years has been in leading companies to greater revenue maximization and operational efficiencies through the creation and adoption of best business practices. He has also led the strategic planning and business development functions for large privately held international organizations doing business in over 60 countries and with employees in excess of 80,000.
Phillip lives in the Nashville area with his wife and two sons. He enjoys coaching football, attending his son's sporting events and band performances and being involved in community outreach through his church.
